Robert Stieglitz is a German boxer and the current WBO Super middleweight world champion. He resides in Magdeburg, Sachsen-Anhalt.
Stieglitz won the WBO title against Hungarian Károly Balzsay on August 22, 2009 when Balzsay did not come out for the 11th round.
On April 17, 2010 he successfully defended his title in Maagdeburg against Eduard Gutknecht.
Robert Stieglitz is set to take on mandatory challenger and former triple belt-holder Mikkel Kessler in Copenhagen, Denmark, on November 5. It will be the 30-year-old German's fifth defence of the belt he won in August 2009, but a huge test for the champion against the vastly experienced Danish warrior Kessler in his home town.
