JuanMa began boxing at 10 years old and capped off his amateur career with an Olympic appearance. He was able to compile an impressive 126-24 record as an amateur before going pro with Top Rank Boxing. After beginning his career as a junior featherweight, his transition to featherweight has clearly been a smooth one.
Lopez has the juice to make a mistake and come back and pound the crap out of his opponents. Speaking of his opponents, Lopez hasn't shied away from top competition on his way to the top, beating the likes of Steven Luevano, Bernabe Concepcion and Daniel Ponce de Leon during his rapid rise.
Of course, the fight everyone wants to see is JuanMa vs Gamboa.
