Tomasz Adamek (45-2, 28 KOs) successfully returned to the ring in his first bout since being stopped by WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko in September and won a 10 round unanimous decision over Nagy Aguilera (17-7, 12 KOs). Judges' cards showed 100-90 (2x) and 99-91.
Adamek stunned Aguilera at the end of Round 4 with a hard right hand that momentarily buckled the 25 year old Aguilera. Although Nagy staggered a back to his corner at the round's conclusion, he was never floored in the bout.
Round 5 was full of fireworks as Adamek went on the attack early only to be thwarted by Aguilera's return fire.
Adamek, a native of Poland who lives in New Jersey, USA, will now look to get back into heavyweight title contention and perhaps challenge Alexander Povetkin for the WBA 'Regular' title.
