WBA middleweight super champion Felix Sturm (36-2-1, 15 KOs) retained his title for the 10th time with a1 2 round split decision over Matthew Macklin (28-3, 19 KOs) tonite. Macklin pressed the action, but Sturm demonstrated good defense and landed the cleaner punches, especially down the stretch as he dominated the late rounds.
Thid decision was very controversial and many believe Macklin earned a victory.
