Francois Botha (48-10-3, 29 KOs) is the latest 1990s heavyweight to announce his return to the ring. The 45 year old former multiple time title challenger faces Polish prospect Andrzej Wawrczyk (28-1, 14 KOs) in Arlamow, Poland on March 15.
Well over-the-hill, Botha, in his most recent outing, was stopped in two rounds last summer by an opponent with a modest 5-0 record.
Who is Andrzej Wawrzyk?
The 6'5"/ 195cm Krakow native is one of several Polish heavyweight prospects and should be a massive favorite against the more-than-faded Botha.
Earlier this month, he dispactched Danny Williams, another shot fighter, in one round.
The 26 year old Wawrzyk's only loss, a third round TKO, came at the hands of Russian Alexander Povetkin in May 2013.
Let's hope Mr. Botha hangs 'em up for good after this one.
