GGG vs Jacobs prediction: Golovkin's trainer has high praise for Daniel
On Saturday, March 18, renowned Middleweight marauder and universally recognized 160 pound champion Gennady Golovkin will place his various trinkets and coveted distinctions on the line as he faces ostensibly his most formidable opponent to date, knock-out puncher Danny Jacobs.
Although the brave Brooklynite was brutally stopped by former world champion Dimitry Pirog back in July of 2010, GGG's head trainer, Abel Sanchez, warns critics and die-hard fight fans that Jacobs is no one to be taken lightly.
"Danny Jacobs is probably the most intelligent fighter, and has the highest boxing IQ of any man that we've fought," stated the respected boxing coach to FightHub TV. "He had a great amateur background...he's also on a roll with twelve knockouts in a row. Danny's very confident and he's already overcome his most difficult challenge in cancer."
"So yeah...we're expecting a very dangerous and motivated opponent in Danny Jacobs."
Despite understanding the level of competition Golovkin will meet in the squared circle this Saturday night, Sanchez firmly believes Jacobs will ultimately become just another knock-out victim.
"On the 18th, when Danny steps through the ropes and competes within the first minute of the opening round, he's going to realize why it's been 23 KOs in a row and why Gennady is as heralded as he is."
Golovkin vs Jacobs Prediction: "Daniel is a heck of a talent, but I think Golovkin is an exceptional talent," claims Golovkin's fight trainer. "I think there might be some scary moments and difficult rounds in the outset, but I think by the seventh or eighth round, Gennady will have worn him down enough to stop him."
The confident and knowledgeable, four-decade fight trainer expounded on his bold but popular fight prediction.
"We've worked on all facets of his fight game...we worked on boxing on the outside, boxing on the inside...we practiced everything that may come up, so that Golovkin sees nothing new during the fight."

Although Sanchez isn't leaving very much up to chance during the scheduled twelve round championship contest, the astute boxing coach remains justifiably concerned with the always unpredictable variable of power.
"Lemiuex is a bigger puncher than Jacobs, but Daniel is more athletic and much sharper than David," insists the California based coach.
"Danny showed in his win against Quillin that he can hurt you with one punch and is a very good finisher. So we're not taking anything for granted, and we're definitely not assuming that he isn't a big puncher."
"A lot of people are talking about his height and his size coming into the fight. That's not an issue for me. The issue that we've been focusing on trying to eliminate in the fight is his power, because he does have a great right hand. So his power and athleticism add up to a potentially difficult fight."
The HBO PPV main event between Gennady Golovkin and Danny Jacobs will air this Saturday night, March 18, from the Madison Square Garden in New York City.
