Hayden Panettiere: Will 'Nashville' fans tune in to Klitschko vs Jennings?
Will heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (63-3, 53KOs) have a much larger American following come April 25?
Klitschko, of course, will face Bryant Jennings at Madison Square Garden and the fight will be broadcast live on HBO. It will be Wlad's first bout in the U.S. in seven years and first as a father; Klitschko and fiancee Hayden Panettiere welcomed Kaya Evdokia Klitschko on December 9.
Before, during and after the pregnancy, the couple garnered mainstream headlines due to their very public, seemingly somewhat drama-filled relationship.
The marriage was on, then it was off - And then back on again.... And just when it seemed they were the perfect couple, rumours abound a possible break-up until it became obvious they were together and happy the whole time.
No wonder TMZ stalked Wlad while he was in New York City earlier this year.
Although many in the U.S. would love to learn more juicy details about the Wladimir Klitschko / Hayden Panettiere relationship, boxing promoters and perhaps a few die-hard fight fans want to know how or if all of the mainstream press Wlad has been receiving will impact Klitschko's stock in the U.S.
Many non-fans of boxing who never heard of Klitschko a year ago are well-familiar with boxing's 39 year old heavyweight champion today.
A rock star in Europe, will Klitschko become an overnight sensation in the U.S? Will Panettiere's fans start following Wlad?
And will a portion of Nashville's very large viewership tune-in to Klitschko's upcoming fight on HBO to see Hayden's man in action?
If HBO ratings for Klitschko vs Jennings are sky high, we may partially attribute its success to Klitschko's growing interest among fans of Hayden Panettiere and the hit TV show Nashville.
If you're a Nashville viewer but not a fight fan, are you more interested in the career of Wladimir Klitschko today than you were two years ago?
Klitschko vs Jennings will be broadcast on HBO, Saturday April 25 at 10pm ET.
