Klitschko vs Joshua prediction: David Haye joins Wilder
A super showdown between heavyweight titans Wladimir Klitschko and Anthony Joshua seems likely for December 10, and the boxing world is buzzing.
Although it's not a done deal yet, Wladimir Klitschko vs Anthony Joshua appears to be on course for December And should it happen, the heavyweight clash would be one of the 5 most significant bouts in the division in the last 20 years.
Last week, unbeaten WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (37-0, 36 KO) predicted size and youth would be too much for the 40 tear old former champion to overcome. And this week, another heavyweight powerbroker offered his insight into Wladimir Klitschko vs Anthont Joshua.
Former cruiserweight and heavyweight belt-holder David Haye, who was decisioned by Wlad 5 years ago, offered a surprising affirmation of Wilder's forecast.
"I see Wladimir Klitschko losing pretty emphatically, I think," Haye told BoxingScene.com's Declan Taylor.
"Joshua is young, he's on the up. He's a young guy, he's a fresh guy, he's got a 100% knockout ratio and he's doing damage - and Wladimir Klitschko isn't anymore."
"The danger-man that he used to be with that big right hand right down the pipe with laser precision and those quick feet - they are a thing of the past now and he's a shell of his former self."
"I fancy Joshua to beat him well within the distance. He'll beat him very, very comfortably. He's just bulldoze him."
Anthony Joshua will likely try to 'take the fight' to Wlad. He's quicker and more explosive than Tyson Fury, who dethroned Wlad last year, has more on his shots, and is adept at taking the lead.
... But that style could play into the former champion's hands.
