Klitschko vs Joshua prediction: Mandatory opponent's gut feeling
The winner of the April 29th heavyweight championship bout between Wladimir Klitschko and Anthony Joshua will be in a good position and a bad one.
He'll be recognized as the world's best heavyweight and will receive the accolades worthy of winning one of the most relevant heavyweight match-ups in recent memory.
... The not so good part of the deal is that Luis Ortiz (27-0, 23 KOs, 2 NC) will be his mandatory.
The WBA has made it clear Ortiz is its No.1 contender and that the Klitschko vs Joshua winner must face him next.
The 38-year-old Cuban is probably the last fella a heavyweight star would want to face, especially just after winning a high-profile superfight. Ortiz is big, strong and mean. And most of all, this fighter dubbed 'King Kong' has some serious skills.
A veteran of a reported 362 amateur fights, Ortiz sported a 343-19 pre professional career record, learning his craft from Cuba's top trainers. And yes, he's 38 but he might as well be 28 because he turned pro just seven years ago and has had only 29 pro fights.
And did we mention he's a southpaw too?

So who does the Cuban expect to face latter this year in his heavyweight title tilt?
Anthony Joshua vs Wladimir Klitschko
Date: Saturday, April 29, 2017
Venue: Wembley Stadium
Broadcast: SKY Sports (UK); Showtime (US)
Titles: WBA (Vacant), IBF
Champion: Joshua (IBF)
"I'm going to watch the fight calmly, " Ortiz told George Ebro as reported by BoxingScene.com.
"The experience is on Klitschko's side and the area of youth favors Joshua. I think the Ukrainian will be the winner. He's going to use the powerful jab to keep Joshua at bay."
"[Klitschko] is going to have to prepare a lot [to fight me]. I've got a hunger for glory that seems like I haven't been eating for 100 years," Ortiz added.
Tough words from a tough man.
