Mayweather vs Berto PPV price: Theaters are much cheaper
Fans of the Sweet Science can enjoy the September 12th welterweight title bout between challenger Andre Berto (30-3 23 KO) and unified 147 lb champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. (48-0 26 KO) dubbed "HIGH STAKES: Mayweather vs. Berto" on the big screen in 470 participating movie theaters nationwide.
Start time September 12 is 8 p.m. ET and tickets will be roughly $30, less than half of the cost of the PPV price.
Tickets for the select theater showing of Mayweather vs. Berto can be purchased online through www.FathomEvents.com or at participating theater box offices. For a complete list of theater locations visit the Fathom Events website (theaters and participants are subject to change).
Fans who wish to purchase a ticket will be treated to a full night of fistic action.
In addition to Mayweather vs Berto, fans can indulge in the co-main event for the coveted WBO junior lightweight world title. Roman "Rocky" Martinez (29-2-2, 17 KOs) will face the rugged Orlando "Siri" Salido (42-13-2, 29 KOs) in a rematch of their epic Fight of the Year candidate from April. Fans will also be able to enjoy WBC super middleweight world champion Badou Jack "The Ripper" (19-1-1, 12 KOs) who will look to defend his newly won title against mandatory challenger George "Saint" Groves (21-2, 16 KOs) and will serve as the first of 3 world title tilts on slate that evening.
Also, as an added bonus, the televised portion of the show will open up with hard-hitting former champion Jhonny Gonzalez (58-9, 49 KOs) taking on Puerto Rico's Jonathan "Polvo" Oquendo (25-4, 16 KOs).
Finding a participating movie theater and procuring a ticket to the evening's festivities for Floyd's final fight would be a great economical alternative to paying $64.95/$74.95HD to order the Mayweather vs Berto fight at home.
