Mayweather vs Pacquiao: Rematch signed too?

Lee Cleveland Updated February 13, 2019

Rumors abound again that Floyd Mayweather vs Manny Pacquiao may be announced soon, possibly today or tomorrow.

Apparently, both teams have signed the contract for the fight which is scheduled to take place May 2 at MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

"Just received an Instant Message from an insider: The 'Pacquiao vs. Mayweather Superfight' was signed today by both combatants," wrote Mark Malinowski of the Philippine Inquirer.

"I believe it, I believe the source, and I believe we have a fight."

Also, one of the biggest skeptics for Mayweather vs Pacquiao taking place, ESPN's Dan Rafael, tweeted this morning:

"A busy morning has caused me to hereby raise the #MayweatherPacquiao threat level to red. There is severe risk this fight will be finalized."

However, don't hold your breath unless Floyd, himself, confirms.

If the megafight has indeed been confirmed the rematch may be as well. If sources are accurate, Mayweather vs Pacquiao 2 will take place in November.
