Mike Tyson Punch-Out!!: Amazing new tidbit found after nearly 30 yearsHot
Who remembers the Nintendo classic, Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!!?
Originally released in North America as Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!!, the video game now simply known as Punch Out!!
Nearly iconic as Nintendo itself, both the Punch-Out!! and Super Punch-Out!! arcade games have consistently been ranked among the best games released for the Nintendo Entertainment Platform.
Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!! debuted in 1987 when Tyson-mania was sweeping the world.
The fighter dubbed 'Iron Mike' had become the youngest heavyweight to win a world title the year before and appeared to have the potential to be the best heavyweight since Muhammad Ali and undoubtedly one of the greatest ever.
Now, according to Tech Times, one of several developer cues or tidbits has been discovered that gives gamers one-punch knockout power against foes Piston Honda and Bald Bull.
Yes, there's a cue that tells gamers when to unleash, and Reddit user'midwesternhousewives' posted footage (ideo belo) of this once previous-hidden nugget.
See the main pic (above) and find the bearded man in the front row. When he ducks, the gamer must unleash a shot immediately. If she/he presses fast enough, they'll get a one-punch knockout. But keep in mind, this applies to second round tournament or world circuit action.
Apparently, there are even more visual cues. Some have been found but others seemingly have not.
It's hard to fathom Mike Tyson, who is seen pretending to play the game during its popular TV commercial in the late 1980s, had never actually partaken in his own product; something that's almost as American as Pac Man and apple pie for young men raised in the 1970s and 80s.
So how did Mike fair when he finally did play?
In 2013, Tyson got his first taste of Punch-Out!! Insisting he was a late bloomer who didn't start playing video games until 2006 or 2007, Tyson told TMZ, "I sucked at Punch-Out!! - I couldn't even beat Glass Joe."
