WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko seeks to lure David Haye into a fight.

Vitali Klitschko (42-2, 39 KOs) told BBC, "I was the happiest man in the world that my brother beat him but I'm unhappy that Wladimir [was not able] to send him to the floor. That did not happen because it's difficult when someone is running away... Maybe in the future if I have a chance to send him to the floor, I will," uttered Vitali.

"Realistically the Klitschkos still need David," Sauerland told The Daily Star.

Kalle Sauerland has given a strong indication that the Londoner will get an immediate shot at Vitali Klitschko if 'Dr. Ironfist' defeats Tomasz Adamek in September.

"Realistically the Klitschkos still need David," Sauerland told The Daily Star.

"No matter what they say, although maybe not as much as before Wladimir fought David.

"But when the figures are all finalised from David's fight with Wladimir and all the TV money is in, the Klitschkos will realise they will have to fight three times to make as much money as from one fight with Haye."

"Both Vitali and Wladimir will be confident because of Wladimir's last fight with David.

"They will be keen and it's still an interesting fight if David fights Vitali or Wladimir.

"David is still going to be rated highly in the rankings so Vitali could fight him in a voluntary defence.

"A fight against Vitali would be no problem to make."

David Haye (25-2, 23 KOs), 30, has not talked much publicly since his one-sided loss to Wladimir Klitschko earlier this month and has indicated that he may delay his retirement, which was scheduled for October, in order to get another crack at the younger Klitschko.

Although the 'Hayemaker' has also stated that he is not interested in a bout with the 40 year old Vitali, he may change his mind if the money is right.

"There will not be many fights that David will be up for, apart from the Klitschkos," added Sauerland.

If Adamek upsets Vitali and Wladimir refuses to give Haye a rematch, Sauerland hints they will attempt to match David Haye with ¬≠Alexander Povetkin (21-0, 15 KOs), since Sauerland promotes both fighters. Povetkin fights Ruslan Chagaev for the regular version of the WBA title on August 27.

He added: "One possible fight other than Klitschko would be Povetkin. I think it would be a classic.

"They are the same weight and aggressive."
