RING Magazine/Lineal and WBA/WBO/IBF Heavyweight Champion Wladimir Klitschko (61-3, 51 KO) is set to face Samoan Aussie Alex Leapai (30-4-3, 24 KO) on April 26 in Germany. Who is Alex Leapai?

A Samoan-born Australian, Leapai, 34, thrust himself into the heavyweight picture by defeating Denis Boytsov (then 33-0) in November 2012.

At the time, Boytsov was the WBO's mandatory challenger for Klitschko but when Leapai defeated the Russian, Alex was named mandatory challenger even though the Boytsov-Leapai bout was not an official elimination bout.

Leapai has wins over fringe contenders Owen Beck, Darnell Wilson and Travis Walker, all in 2010, but Boytsov is the only legitimate top contender he's defeated.

The Aussie, who is expected to earn a whopping $1 million for the Klitschko bout, was stopped in Round 9 in 2012 by Kevin Johnson (then 25-1-1) while his other three defeats took place prior to 2009.

Ranked No. 30 in the division by BoxRec and No. 2 in Australia by the same site, the hot Aussie has won 14 of his last 15 bouts.

The champion, Wladimir Klitschko, is undefeated in his last 19 fights and is expected to be a heavy favorite.

Incidentally, Perth's Lucas Browne (19-0, 17 KO) is BoxRec's No. 1 ranked Aussie heavyweight.
