Stiverne vs Arreola results: And the new WBC Heavyweight Champion by KO is... (VIDEO)

Written by
Tonight, from Galen Center at the campus of USC in Los Angeles, California, top tier heavyweights Chris Arreola and Bermane Stiverne dueled for the vacant WBC Heavyweight Championship.
And in this rematch to determine the heavyweight division's other champion, Bermane “B. Ware” Stiverne (24-1-1, 21 KOs) staved off a pressuring Chris Arreola (36-4, 31 KOs) before ending matters in Round 6.

With the win, Stiverne, a Canadian, became the first Haitian-born heavyweight to hold a piece of the title.

Arreola, now 0-2 against Stiverne, was working well off the jab and appeared to have seized the first four of five rounds before being felled twice in Round 6, prompting the referee to call the fight.

Was this Stiverne's plan all along?

In the post fight interview, the new WBC Heavyweight Champion insisted his plan was to lure Arreola into a false sense of security and “then crack him.”

Klitschko vs Stiverne?
Of course, the real and legitimate lineal heavyweight champion is Wladimir Klitschko.

Will Stiverne risk it all against Wlad?

Will Wlad, the recognized RING Magazine and WBA/IBF/WBO Champ, take his chances against Stiverne?

Is heavyweight boxing back?
