Justin Bieber vs Orlando Bloom on the undercard of Floyd Mayweather's next PPV?Written by Joseph Herron
Last week, it was reported by several media outlets that pop star Justin Bieber starting training at the Ten Goose Gym in Van Nuys, California, with pound-for-pound king Floyd "Money" Mayweather.
Is the popular singer really serious about learning the "Sweet Science" from one of the greatest defensive fighters in the history of the sport? And why is the best active pugilist on the planet taking the time to work with a novice like Bieber?
Fans of the pop icon might understand by looking at events that went down this past Summer.
On Wednesday, July 30, renowned actor Orlando Bloom took a swing at Justin while attending a bar in Ibiza, Spain.
What is the most frequent reason why two men decide to get it on outside of the ring?
If you guessed "women", you would be correct.
Apparently Justin Bieber hooked up with Orlando Bloom's ex-wife, Miranda Kerr, in 2012, while the famed "Hobbit" actor was seen getting cozy with actress and singer Selena Gomez earlier this year.
To make a very sorted and long story short, both men despise each other as a result. Mix that in with a large amount of social lubricant, and presto...you have a fight!!
So is Justin training with Floyd Mayweather Jr. to challenge the talented actor to an eventual showdown in Vegas, sometime in 2015?
By the looks of the attached training video, Bieber certainly has a very long way to go before he starts calling out anyone in public.
Although Floyd has the 20 year old singer learning the importance of upper body and head movement, Bieber doesn't look like he'll be ready to face anyone in the ring until... possibly the Summer of 2020.
But because of a saturated PPV market and a shortage of PPV worthy opponents, could fight fans see a celebrity "grudge match" between Justin Bieber and Orlando Bloom on his next PPV event?
It's been rumored that the match-up could actually become a reality next year.
The only person who truly knows the answer to that question is the pound for pound king of boxing, Floyd "Money" Mayweather.
Hopefully fight fans will find out in the near future.
