McGregor vs Diaz 2 prediction: "I'd whoop both their a**es"Written by Joseph Herron
Earlier this week, at the Mayweather Boxing Club in Las Vegas, Nevada, heralded boxing trainers Jeff Mayweather and Floyd Mayweather Sr. sat down to talk about the main event of UFC 202, Conor McGregor vs. Nate Diaz.
The "barber shop" type of discussion went something like this…
Jeff Mayweather: "Upcoming fight…who wins, Conor McGregor or Nate Diaz?"
Floyd Mayweather Sr: "Conor McGregor is that one who wants to fight Floyd, right?"
Jeff: "Yes. But he fought Nate Diaz before and he got whooped."
Floyd Sr: "Well, more than likely he's going to get the same thing again."
After the elder statesman of the Mayweather clan gave his candid prediction of the upcoming UFC contest, he went on to say that not only would his son KO both men in a boxing ring on the same night, but he would have no trouble against either MMA fighter as well…as long as there were several stipulations implemented in the rules prior to the contest.
Floyd Mayweather Sr: "Look, I'd whoop Conor McGregor's ass, and I'd whoop the boy who whooped Conor's ass (Nate Diaz)! If they do everything with their hands…with no kicking, and no elbowing…I would beat both they asses!"
Jeff: "What if they used their feet though? What if they swipe you? I mean, you said you couldn't beat Conor McGregor only because he would swipe your feet."
Floyd Sr: "They ain't gonna swipe me! What I'm trying to tell you is that if there isn't any foot-swiping, no elbowing, or no chin-ups…I'm letting you know, if we ain't doing any of that, you already know who's gonna win!"
Mayweather Sr. went on to put an exclamation point on his bold prediction by once again rattling off the now famous "Floyd Sr. rhyme".
Floyd Sr: "Look…I am the best! I must confess. For all the rest, there's no contest!"
"I will shock your mind…I'm one of a kind…I'm one of the greatest fighters of all time!"
Tonight, Saturday August 20, Featherweight world champion and UFC superstar Conor McGregor will once again compete outside of his natural weight division and take on rugged Nate Diaz at 170 pounds in the main event of UFC 202.
