Sergey Kuzmin: Heavyweight back in action Nov 24Written by Leroy Cleveland
Highly-ranked heavyweight Sergey Kuzmin (13-0-0-1NC, 10 KO) will step in the ring again on November 24 in Atlantic City, participating on the undercard of Dmitry Bivol vs Jean Pascal which will be aired on HBO.
Unfortunately, we aren't sure who his opponent is. And at this moment, it appears the Kuzmin fight will not be broadcast by the network which will instead air the undercard bout featuring Murodjon Akhmadaliev vs. Isaac Zarate.
In case you forgot about Kuzmin, he's the Russian who defeated David Price in September when the latter retired on his stool with an injured bicep.
Despite having only 14 bouts, Kuzmin is ranked No. 22 in the division by BoxRec and is the No. 2 Russian heavyweight (behind Alexander Povetkin) by the same site.
Prior to the win over Price, the 31 year old, 6'4" heavyweight defeated Jeremiah Karpency (then 15-1-1) and Malcolm Tann (then 24-4). Sergey has also logged a win over a faded Darnell Wilson (then 25-19-3) in 2015.
Having debuted in Nov 2014, Kuzmin has been fairly active as a pro. He fought four times apiece in 2015 and 2017, and three times in 2016. His fight in two weeks will serve as his third of this year.
Trainer: Gennadiy Mashyanov

As an amateur, Kuzmin KO'd current red hot British prospect Joe Joyce in Round 1 in 2013.
