2016 has been an admittedly forgettable year thus far within the fight community. From fans to promoters, every active participant seems to be licking their respective wounds well into the final quarter of the fiscal year.
Two weeks ago, after former four division world titlist Adrien Broner was released from a 30-day incarceration, the trash-talking fighter from Cincinnati stated to ESNews that he eventually wanted to land a match-up against future Hall of Famer Manny Pacquiao.
Last week, former four division titlist Adrien "The Problem" Broner was conditionally released from incarceration on a "contempt of court" charge, which put him in the stony lonesome for thirty consecutive days. Although the seemingly troubled prizefighter will return to court on September 21, Broner is looking to score another major fight, possibly in October.
With the two biggest of stars of boxing possibly entering the twilight of their respective careers, fight fans often find themselves searching feverishly with every passing event for the "next big thing" to help carry the sport.
